One of the greatest indicators of growth and sustainability in business is being able to compensate those who contribute significant time, energy and passion to the mission of the organization. PCFC has now reached that level. After 5 years of operating on volunteer coaches and staff we are now able to offer small, but important monthly stipends to two key staff members.
Shema Jacques has been playing with the club since 2014. He came to the club as a shy, young boy and in the past three years he has developed into a confident, outgoing young man. He was the first graduate of our Junior Coaching Program which was launched in January 2017. Shema showed signs of coaching ability early on in his involvement with PCFC. He has since proven to be a fantastic mentor, coach and friend to many of the kids in our Development Level Program. Shema earns a stipend for each practice and game that he coaches. He will also be able to use this experience to build his resume as he enters his Senior year of High School at Roosevelt High School in 2018. It is an honor to have him on our coaching staff and to see the youth he coaches learn from his experience, talent and love of the game. You can read more about him in his own words below.
