The following steps are ONLY required once approved by the PCFC Coaching Program Manager.
Submitting these documents prior to approval does not qualify you as a coach.
step 3: PCFC Coaching Requirements
Please do the following in order.
1. Create Account, Sports Connect (Background Check)
This is provided for free by Oregon State Youth Association.
2. Training, Safesport (Annual Training)
U.S. Center for SafeSport Core online training covers the following subjects: sexual abuse, hazing, bullying, emotional misconduct, physical misconduct, harassment (non-sexual), and reporting obligations.
Click here for instructions, required now is “Safesport Trained”, then there will be refreshers annually. Click here to create an account and begin training.
Once completed, send the Safesport Certificate to Coaching Program Manager via email.
3. Concussion Training, National FHS
Complete the NFHS Concussion Training, click here.
Once completed, send the Concussion Certificate to Coaching Program Manager via email.
4. Online Bio! (optional)
This is for fun! It allows us at PCFC to learn more about you, and post on our website Staff & Coaches web page. We would love answers to be detailed, but we may not use everything for your bio. This is a great way to tell our parents and supporters about you and our organization! Click “Coaching Bio Submission”
