Jerika Ferguson

Operations Manager

Growing up as the youngest sibling, I first witnessed the game of soccer on the sidelines and began playing in the house. Living in Troutdale, OR, I saw how soccer created experiences of joy, laughter, and healthy competition on the pitch.

At age 8, my family moved to Poulsbo, WA, where I began to play competitive soccer year-round and across the Pacific Northwest. Participating in soccer gave me a safe space to learn from mistakes and showed me the importance of teamwork, patience, and personal responsibility.

Each of these experiences and lessons I then used to succeed in college academics, professional development, and an opportunity to play in the Women’s Premier Soccer League by age 20.

At 22, I moved to Olympia, WA, to pursue a career in the public sector and became a mountaineering enthusiast. I dedicated weekends to train, learn and instruct medical readiness and backcountry skills.

After a few years, I began coaching recreational soccer for two clubs where I was able to provide that same safe space for mistakes and formalize important developmental skills for youth athletes.

I am a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and bring more than a decade of professional and personal experience in the nonprofit and public sectors. I finalized my Master’s in Business Administration at Oregon State University’s College of Business in 2023 with a discipline in Supply Chain and Logistics Management. I am excited to bring this additional knowledge to our Portland communities and PCFC.

Jerika joined PCFC in 2022.
